- Quotes by category, author, keywords, phrases, movie, proverb. Very handy when you are looking for the "perfect" quote.

- Worth being in my list twice. Need a quote about a topic? This is a great site! Does so much more than just rhyming.

- Ahh, the apostrophe. How many times it is used incorrectly! I often use this to show other people how to punctuate acronyms accurately.

- This has so much it can be hard to find, but if you are in a spot, it might be worth the time.

- Just a nice general site that provides a quick overview on the basics of writing with some specifics on issues — such as the double that.
- Guide to Grammar & Writing
- An easy to use site about basic grammar, structure.
- Don't let the easy to use fool you; the site is fairly comprehensive.
- Possessive vs. Attributive Nouns
- Like the apostrophe, this is another common area of errors.
- Tricky Grammar & Language Use
- Not inclusive, but this site provide some of the more problems found in documents.
- Case: Subject/Object & Who/Whom
- Another quick site provided by the Meredith College Writing Center.
- Look under their grammar section.
- Style Manual — Covers most everything
- Provided by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Yes I know — medical! ?
- But this is a great site for just your basic English questions! In depth, and fairly comprehensive.

Very Useful Proofreading Sites
- Notorious Confusables
- Part of the Guide to Grammar and Writing section; this is a good site to refer during the last stages of proofreading.
- Common Errors in English
- Probably one of my favorite proofreading sites.
- I go through this list and double check everything. It takes forever, but it truly improves your final document. It is amazing how many mistakes you find that you just miss when reading your own work!
- 11 Rules of Writing
- This site is a concise guide to some of the most commonly violated rules of writing, grammar, and punctuation. It is intended for all writers as an aid in the learning and refining of writing skills.
- Common Mistakes of the Beginning Writer
- Karen Fox has a neat site.
